Make a contribution – How you can help

By purchasing or adopting Oak trees you make a valuable contribution to a reafforestation programme in India.

These programmes also include funding education in the area as we believe through education, comes change.

We offer two ways to make a contribution, buying the Oak seedlings and planting them yourself, or adopting a tree in Hawke’s Bay.

Buying a Tree

See our tips on training and maintenance to get the best from your Oak.

Trees are from $10 plus freight.

A discount is offered for orders of more than 50 trees. The sale of one $10 tree equates to 50 trees in the Himalayas.

Adopting a Tree

Because the Oaks grow to become a large tree, we offer trees for adoption. and we will plant the tree for you. Adopting a tree can be a special way to commemorate a birth, wedding, families or the passing of someone close.

Where does the money go?

All of the proceeds from the sale of the trees, go to the Ranichauri Eastwoodhill Trust to support our work in Himalayan region of North West India.

The Trust is a registered charity and funds are paid into a trust account managed by Napier legal firm Langley Twigg.  Receipts are available.

The money raised is put towards education and environmental projects as advised by our partners in India at HIMCON.

The sale of one $10 tree equates to 50 trees in the Himalayas.

The money raised so far has established a nursery, propagation houses, 10 small rainwater harvesting tanks, village water tap, and financial help for the local school.
